Other hydrothermalW-Sn

Type
Hypothermal wolframite-quartz veins

Wolframite-quartz veins (0.5 to 3 % WO3), with cassiterite, chalcopyrite, pyrite and Li-bearing muscovite, over 900 m by 500 m in the Jurassic Yamizo group accretionary sediments, about 100 km north of Tokyo. Muscovite dated at 68.7 ± 2.1 Ma (K-Ar). Ilmenite-series granite inferred at depth; magmatic fluid (δ18O +10 to +8 ‰) cooled and mixed with meteoric water; formation at about 160 MPa, i.e. about 6 km. Estimated coordinates. Indicative coordinates.
