Orogenic goldAu (Sb)
- Type
- Disseminated gold-sulfide in black shales, with late antimony
West Kalba gold belt (Ob-Zaisan Hercynides), in Carboniferous carbonaceous terrigenous-carbonate rocks; invisible gold in disseminated pyrite and arsenopyrite, close to the Carlin type according to the authors, late antimony (stibnite in quartz-stibnite veins and breccias) emplaced during extension. Four associations: syngenetic pyrite, pyrite-arsenopyrite with invisible gold (first productive stage), gold-polysulfide with free gold (second stage, 418-300 °C, 2.0-0.3 kbar) and quartz-carbonate-stibnite pockets and veinlets with berthierite, native Sb, aurostibite, ullmannite (280-200 °C, 1.40-0.06 kbar), down to 500-600 m depth. Sericite Ar-Ar ages: 281.9 ± 3.3 (pyrite-arsenopyrite), 248.1 ± 3.4 (gold-polysulfide) and 241.9 ± 2.7 Ma (antimony); dykes from 257.8 to 246 Ma (SHRIMP U-Pb). Kovalev et al. (2014): stibnite from -0.9 to +0.7 ‰; first-stage sulfides from -3.3 to 0.0 ‰ and gold-polysulfide stage from -10.2 to -7.6 ‰ (Kovalev et al., 2012, not entered). Coordinates not published.

|---|---|---|---|---|
| 0 ± 0.8 ‰ | −0.9 / 0.7 ‰ | 3 | stibnite (quartz-stibnite mineralisation and stibnite breccias) Mean and standard deviation recalculated from 3 analyses, -0.9 to +0.7 (Su-30 -0.9; Su-149 +0.7; Su-161 +0.2). Sulfur close to the meteoritic zero, from a deep source common to all deposits according to the authors. | Kovalev et al. (2014), Relationship of antimony with gold mineralization in the ore distr… |
