Type
Quartz-stibnite veins in slates at the contact of Cretaceous gabbros

Abunabu antimony district, in the west of the Tethys Himalayan metallogenic belt, about 164 km south-east of Shiquanhe (Gar County, Ngari); over 100,000 t Sb at 4.93 %. Deposit in the north of the district, orebodies No. II and III in sericite slates, at the contact of faults and Upper Cretaceous gabbros and Lower Cretaceous ultramafic rocks. Li et al. (2023): stibnite fluid inclusion noble gases of crustal type (3He/4He of 0.02 to 0.35 Ra, less than 6 % mantle helium) with argon from air-saturated meteoric water (40Ar/36Ar of 296 to 321); slightly negative sulfur (-4.9 to -3.5 ‰), of deep origin, shared by both deposits. Coordinates not published.

ValueRangenMineral or matrixSource
0.172 ± 0.1410.025 / 0.3516stibnite fluid inclusions
Mean and standard deviation recalculated from 6 analyses, 0.025 to 0.351 (QZ-Y-7 0.025; QZ-Y-23 0.026; QZ-Y-13 0.102; QZ-Y-15 0.227; QZ-Y-16 0.299; QZ-Y-17 0.351); QZ-Y-7 labelled QZ-Y-5-7 in Table 2; the four highest values (QZ-Y-13 to 17) have weak helium signals (4He of 0.016 to 0.053 × 10⁻⁷ cm3 STP/g), hence unreliable.
