Qinglong (Sb-Au)
Qinglong County, south-west Guizhou (north-west margin of the Youjiang Basin), China
Other hydrothermalSb (Au)
- Type
- Vein antimony with superimposed Carlin-like gold, in the "Dachang layer"
Large deposit of eight blocks (Dachang, Shuijingwan, Dishuiyan, Gulu, Houpo, Xishe, Sanwangping, Heishanjing) in the "Dachang layer" (siliceous rocks, brecciated basalt, tuff and silicified limestone) between the Maokou limestone and the Emeishan basalts (Middle to Upper Permian). Chen et al. (2021): sequence Py1, Stb1 (with quartz and fluorite), Py2, then Py3 and Stb2; gold is carried by the As-rich zones of zoned pyrite. Stibnite δ34S from -6.6 to +3.2 ‰ and As-rich zones from -9.2 to +6.1 ‰: magmatic or deep metamorphic sulfur shared by gold and antimony; the widely scattered cores (Py1, -18.9 to +18.1 ‰) are sedimentary. Li et al. (2020): four quartz generations with decreasing δ18O (19.5 to 6.4 ‰), initial magmatic or metamorphic fluid diluted by meteoric water. Coordinates not published.
