Volcanogenic massive sulfidesZn-Pb-Au-Ag
- Type
- Metamorphosed stratiform Zn-Pb-Au-Ag
Zn-Pb-Au-Ag deposit of Late Proterozoic age in a metaevaporite and carbonate-associated terrane, metamorphosed to amphibolite facies. Palmer and Slack (1989, Table 3): tourmaline at +1.56 ‰. Tourmalines of this kind of terrane range from -22.79 to +18.32 ‰ in the article; according to the authors, the boron source (continental crust, entrained seawater, evaporites) matters more than the formation temperature.
