Other hydrothermalAu-Sb (As)

Type
Carlin-type Au-Sb: early stibnite overprinted by invisible gold in arsenian pyrite

About 7 t of gold at 5.31 g/t, 4662 t of Sb and 7862 t of As, in argillaceous limestones and breccias of the Sandu Formation (Middle to Upper Cambrian); 34 gold orebodies as veins, lenses and pods along N-S and E-W faults, eight of them with Sb (0.78 to 10.43 %); orebody No. 28 the richest. Xie et al. (2025): Sb mineralisation (stibnite, quartz, calcite, native antimony, chalcostibite) predates the Carlin-type gold (arsenian pyrite and arsenopyrite), which rims it. Very heavy sulfur in all sulfides (δ34S of +17.6 to +39.6 ‰): sulfur from the Cambrian strata by thermochemical sulfate reduction (evaporites at +36 to +38 ‰), unlike the Youjiang Basin Carlin-type deposits (about 0 ‰). Coordinates not published.
