Longtoushan (gold, Dayaoshan)
Guangxi, southwestern Dayaoshan Uplift, China
Other hydrothermalAu
- Type
- Hydrothermal gold related to a rhyolite porphyry and a cryptoexplosive breccia
Gold deposit of the Dayaoshan Uplift, distinct from the tin-bearing Longtoushan of the Dachang field; abundant tourmaline in the rhyolite porphyry and associated breccia, replacing feldspar, distributed like the gold orebody. Qian et al. (2019): tourmalines from -15.4 to -12.3 ‰, ore fluid from -12.8 to -9.7 ‰, boron from an S-type rhyolitic melt; gold deposited mainly at the post-magmatic hydrothermal stage.
