Khingan (Khinganskoe)

Khingan-Olonoy ore district, Jewish Autonomous Oblast (Lesser Khingan volcanic zone), Russia

Other hydrothermalSn (F)

Type
Topaz-mica greisens in hydrothermal explosive breccia pipes

Khingan-Badzhal-Komsomolsk metallogenic zone (Late Cretaceous, 95-85 Ma), formed at a transform margin. Its lead, much less radiogenic than that of the South Sikhote-Alin subprovince, would involve 70 to 90 % mantle lead according to Chernyshev et al. (2025). Steep pipe-like ore bodies cutting Early Cretaceous acid volcanics, traced to more than 1200 m depth; fluorite-rich, sulfide-poor ore dated at 98-90 Ma (K-Ar on micas). Coordinates from Mindat. Indicative coordinates.
