Oxide-rich ultramafic intrusions of the Duluth Complex (including Titac)

Minnesota, Duluth Complex, United States

Magmatic (Ni-Cu-PGE, carbonatites)Ti-Fe (V)

Type
Oxide-rich ultramafic intrusions (OUI)

Layered mafic intrusion (LMI) magnetite analysed by Emproto et al. (2026). Small Fe-Ti oxide-bearing ultramafic bodies within the troctolites of the complex (Kleinsasser et al., 2024); three Titac magnetites from +0.7 to +3.4 ‰, seven from the other intrusions from -2.4 to -0.7 ‰.
