- Type
- Gabbro-dolerite-hosted disseminated and vein gold-antimony
Au-Sb occurrence in gabbro-dolerites and diabases of the Cao Bang complex (Lower Triassic), within the Song Hien rift basin, the continuation of the Chinese Nanpanjiang basin. Invisible gold in pyrite and arsenopyrite (Au+ and AuAs2 complexes), stibnite in late quartz veins. Tran et al. (2016): arsenopyrite and pyrite at +5.5 to +9.2 ‰, like diagenetic pyrite of the black shales (+7.3 ‰), lighter stibnite (+0.3 to +6.6 ‰): sedimentary sulfur from the rift fill, the gabbro only supplying iron. Compared with Nanpanjiang Carlin-type deposits. Coordinates not published.
