- Type
- Porphyry gold related to a granite porphyry
Porphyry gold deposit with abundant tourmaline in hydrothermal veins and granitic rocks coeval with the mineralized granite porphyry; gold related to quartz-tourmaline-chalcopyrite veins. Qiao et al. (2019): δ11B from -8.7 to +21.2 ‰; very heavy magmatic tourmaline, ascribed to assimilation of Late Carboniferous to Early Permian marine carbonates, light hydrothermal tourmalines from magmatic fluids.

Standard : NIST SRM 951
| Value | Range | n | Mineral or matrix | Source |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 17.4 ± 1.6 ‰ | 15.1 / 21.2 ‰ | 16 | magmatic tourmaline of granite porphyry dikes (Tur-M1) Published mean of 16 analyses, median +17.4 ‰. Partly uvite; heavy boron ascribed to assimilation of marine carbonates. | Qiao et al. (2019), Chemical and boron isotope compositions of tourmaline in the Hadamiao… |
| 2.6 ± 4.5 ‰ | −3.1 / 10.6 ‰ | 18 | tourmaline of nodules in an aplite (Tur-M2) Published mean of 18 analyses, median -1.7 ‰. Magmatic-hydrothermal transitional tourmaline; mean and median far apart, skewed distribution. | Qiao et al. (2019), Chemical and boron isotope compositions of tourmaline in the Hadamiao… |
| 1.3 ± 2.9 ‰ | −3.1 / 7.3 ‰ | 21 | tourmaline of nodules in the granite porphyry (Tur-M2) Published mean of 21 analyses, median +1.5 ‰. Magmatic-hydrothermal transitional tourmaline. | Qiao et al. (2019), Chemical and boron isotope compositions of tourmaline in the Hadamiao… |
| −2.3 ± 1.4 ‰ | −3.6 / 0.5 ‰ | 12 | core of tourmaline from early veins in the mineralized porphyry (Tur-V1) Published mean of 12 analyses, median -2.9 ‰. | Qiao et al. (2019), Chemical and boron isotope compositions of tourmaline in the Hadamiao… |
| −5.8 ± 0.4 ‰ | −6.4 / −5.4 ‰ | 9 | rim of tourmaline from early veins in the mineralized porphyry (Tur-V1) Published mean of 9 analyses, median -5.8 ‰. Rim lighter than core, ascribed to boron input from another source. | Qiao et al. (2019), Chemical and boron isotope compositions of tourmaline in the Hadamiao… |
| −7.1 ± 0.9 ‰ | −8.7 / −5.4 ‰ | 13 | tourmaline of gold-bearing quartz-tourmaline-chalcopyrite veins (Tur-V2) Published mean of 13 analyses, median -6.9 ‰. Gold stage; lowest values; fluid inclusions homogenized near 310 °C (Nie et al., 1989). | Qiao et al. (2019), Chemical and boron isotope compositions of tourmaline in the Hadamiao… |
| −5.9 ± 0.9 ‰ | −7.3 / −4.5 ‰ | 13 | tourmaline of breccia cement (Tur-V3) Published mean of 13 analyses, median -5.8 ‰. | Qiao et al. (2019), Chemical and boron isotope compositions of tourmaline in the Hadamiao… |
| −4 ± 1.7 ‰ | −6.2 / −1.3 ‰ | 11 | tourmaline of late carbonate-quartz veins (Tur-V4) Published mean of 11 analyses, median -3.8 ‰. Increase from V2 to V4 explained by Rayleigh fractionation (F about 0.7 then 0.3). | Qiao et al. (2019), Chemical and boron isotope compositions of tourmaline in the Hadamiao… |
