PorphyriesMo
- Type
- Porphyry molybdenum
Porphyry molybdenum deposit (proven reserve 0.406 Mt Mo metal at 0.12 %) related to a 236 ± 2.2 Ma (U-Pb) porphyritic granite, molybdenite dated at 234 to 231 Ma (Re-Os), hosted by clastic rocks of the Gandun Formation. Wu et al. (2023): tourmalines from -15.9 to -12.3 ‰ according to Table 3, close to S-type granites or clastic-sediment-sourced fluids; fluids increasingly oxidized as sulphides precipitated.
