SkarnsW (Cu)

Type
Scheelite skarn

One of the richest scheelite skarns in the world: replacement of the Lower Cambrian Ore limestone at the contact of a Late Cretaceous peraluminous biotite monzogranite stock (91.6 Ma, K-Ar). Garnet-pyroxene, pyroxene-pyrrhotite, amphibole-pyrrhotite and biotite-pyrrhotite facies formed at about 450 to 500 °C. Mostly magmatic fluids (over 75 % fluid in equilibrium with the intrusion), limited and constant meteoric water input. Latitude from the article (61° 57' 30" N), longitude of the Tungsten settlement.
