Two vein bodies in a NW-SE strike-slip fault zone cutting the Asarcık granitoid (Late Cretaceous to Palaeocene: syenite, quartz syenite, alkali granite, monzonite); quartz, calcite, tourmaline, pyrite, galena, sphalerite, chalcopyrite and minor pitchblende. Mined before 1914 by a French company for Cu, Ag and Pb; over 2 Mt of reserves at 3.88 % Pb, 3.94 % Zn and 50.15 g/t Ag (MTA, 1983-1985). Yavuz et al. (2011): granitoid tourmaline from -14.0 to -12.2 ‰, vein tourmaline from -10.4 to -2.2 ‰, boron of granitic origin.
