Salar
A closed basin in an arid region, covered by a salt crust under which a brine circulates. In the Andes these brines are rich in lithium and supply a large share of world production.
Composition
Halite, gypsum, sylvite; brine with Na, K, Mg, Li, Cl, SO4, B.
